Yesterday was Jeff's birthday and a very long day.
Jeff started celebrating on Saturday nite, he dropped a sleeping Thom off at Omi's house then went to Jeffreys (the restraunt/loung) and met up with some friends one of them (ryan), shares Jeff's birthday!
On Sunday, we went to my parents house for brunch as we normally do on Sunday's - however with the time change (and Thom not being home) we slept in. We didnt have brunch till noon! After a visit with Ang, Brad, Ava, Tim and my parents (and an attempt at putting Ava and Thom unsuccefully down for a nap) we were off. Pity for the rest of us Jeff got a Borat book!
We ran off for Jeff's tanning appointment and just made it ontime. Thom Beth and I hung out in the mini van and chatted till Jeff finished (he was only gone 15-20 min however still good practice for our drive to MN in a couple weeks!)
Then on our way to my in-laws for an early dinner we stopped at our favourite Sunday spot Costco - I would like to add there was no line up yesterday! Unfortunatley, we were not doing a big shop all we bought was Jeff a pair of walking shorts but it is worth mentioning there was only 1 person ahead of us in line!
Due to the browsing we did at Costco we were late for dinner, however, Suzanne was not there yet so at least we were not the last to arrive (plus I came with the birthday boy so its all okay!). On the way to Goni and Daves from Costco Thom finally fell asleep and slept for 2 1/2 hours - I cant get him to nap at home but put him in a car in the late afternoon and he is out like a lite!
We got home at 8:30 and Thom had a snack then it was bed time for him since we are working on a consistant bed time routine, with the time change he was quite bright eyed! After numerous books and discussion on how even if he is not tired he needs to stay in bed. Very difficult to explain how he didnt have to sleep but he did need to relax and not race around playing with toys noisely. But after 1 1/2hr Thom & Beth were asleep and Jeff and I relaxed in the living room with a fire and popcorn-yum.
Hopefully Jeff had a very happy Birthday!
